Christmas card from QKD

Good morning!!! I just wanted to share here the card I posted on the WIS blog this past Tuesday as I just love it!!!! I may have discovered new fave colours for Christmas cards....do you like? This card uses the mermaid Christmas tree stamp in the Fantasy line. Really cute! I had forgotten I had picked up this paper at the end of the season last year and now I wish I had more of it. I am such a sucker for pretty paper. Well, its almost Friday thankfully...is this week going crazy slow for anyone else too?? Well, enough procrastinating for me, time for work. Have a great day!

Wed QKD blog hop- colour challenge

Today's inspiration for our weekly blog hop are the colours Teal and Pink. Okay, i can do this right ;) I used the QKD set "Live Dream Believe" which is a great sentiment stamp and can be found here. I really enjoyed these colours as it made me think of summer- we haven't had much of one this year. Most days feel like Spring or Autumn actually. Oh well, can't complain, at least it's not snow right!

QKD Wednesday blog hop, come and play!

Blog hop with QKD- August new releases

I am a big fan of Halloween images- cute ones not gory horrific ones- I scare easily- so I really wanted to work with this mermaid. I have already made all my projects with her for this month and can't wait to share them with you throughout August. When I think of Halloween one of the first things that comes to mind is bite size candy..mmmmm.... and I have a few of these great clear alterable buckets on hand so the wheels started turning....do you like how she turned out?? My hubby was already excited to find this stash of candy while I took this picture and has eaten a couple mini boxes of smarties. These are actually still left from last Halloween. I hoard things like candy and chocolate as you never know when you need a fix and I try not to eat it too often. I can't wait to hop along with you today and see all the new creations. QKD Fantasy Mushroom stamp and Jen's SFYTT

Here is the card I made today showcased over at the Whimsical Ink Sorority blog for QKD. QKD blog hop- it's a homemade box kinda day...

Welcome to the Wednesday weekly QKD blog hop. If you are hopping along you would have arrived from viewing Bev's awesome creation- I love that girl's art! Here is my blog hop offering. Do you like this cute tooth fairy box or what! Fairies, glitter, pearls, crystals and buttons all in my fave combo of pink and brown, I love her! I made this with one of the cute fairy stamps from QKD for this week's blog hop. The challenge was either to alter a box or create one so I found this super easy pizza box template on splitcoaststampers after reading that the other Royal court girls rave about it. I then let myself go crazy with all the pink and brown I could cram on my 4x4 space. Try to make one too, you will be addicted and it's only from one piece of paper!

Whimisical Ink Sorority hazing event and QKD Blog Hop

I am participating in my first hazing event for the WIS! My cards today are using a stamp from each of the 2 new saying stamps released today.I actually love sayings stamps as they often finish off a card, and not just on the inside, I use them more on the outside. My fave way to use them is on my burgundy card with the gorgeous scrapbook paper. The paper is too pretty to cover up and you want to use it as a card so what do you do.......you let it shine on through and just add a small quote or saying to tie it all together...love it!! These are great sets to work with and you can play too and win stamps! Here's how you can play.

QKD Weekly Blog Hop- Colour Challenge

It's Wednesday so that means its time to join in the QKD blog hop. If you are following the hop you would have arrived from Kelly Jean's blog. Kelly Jean always has some awesome creations to share don't you think? If you are just joining us I recommend starting at the QKD blog to get started then keep on hopping till the end.

The challenge colours this week are Yellow, Orange, Lime and Red. Wowza's.....not in my comfort zone so it's cool to try!

Here is the card I came up with. I used Pebbles shimmering chalks after stamping the image in versamark to colour my fairy. I then dug around for any paper and accessories in these colours as I knew I wouldn't have too much to choose from but I am happy with what I found. Now if the challenge was using pink and brown I would have spent hours going through all I have in that colour combo and then deciding which of it I could actually part with and use LOL.
